About Me (Jazmin)
Accredited Social Worker, Career Coach + clinical supervisor + trainer
I was born and based in Melbourne, Australia and currently live with my husband and children.
I have worked with children, adolescents and their families in a variety of roles, including in not-for-profit organisations, social housing and child welfare roles. I have also previously worked in a primary school, high schools and distance education schools as a social worker and Mental Health Practitioner with children, adolescents and. young adults who have experienced trauma and adversity.
In these school-based roles, I provided direct individual counselling to children and young people, facilitating targeted therapeutic groups and mental health promotion at a class and school wide level. I have extensive experience in working with neurodiverse young people and young people with mental health presentations such as suicidal ideation, self-harm and anger and aggression.
I also worked as a sessional academic for various universities, as a social work field educator (external supervisor for social work students on their placements) and unit facilitation for counselling students.
I have experience facilitating group and peer supervision sessions with both social workers, counselling students and other allied health professionals.
In addition to my private practice, I also hold a government role, as a senior practice advisor, capacity-building the professionals who work in direct practice with adults with cognitive disabilities who have engaged in behaviours of concern, some with forensic histories.
I enjoy spending time outdoors and going for walks, spending time with her family, travelling and baking. My favourite travel destinations in Australia are anywhere in Tasmania, North Queensland and Coffs Harbour.
